Test Macbook Air

chooseyourcolor.com is advertised by affiliates who are paid $1.10 for each zip code that is entered. The site is advertised against the Facebook terms of service by shady advertisers, who find ways around Facebook’s ad review process. They use ads that say:

“Test a Yellow Mac? We need laptop testers. Keep the Macbook you test. Current laptop available is the yellow Macbook Air. Check area availability.”  -  They include variations with different color choices.

While chooseyourcolor.com is technically not a total scam, since you will receive a Macbook, it will end up costing you more than just going to the Apple store and buying one.

Upon further investigation, you must complete a total of 6 offers. You must sign up for two offers from three categories.  After you fill in your contact information, you must submit several surveys. After this, you are instructed to sign up for several offers. When totaled up, they exceed the retail price of the Macbook itself. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!

Big scam besides costing me my money I get at least 100 junk emails a day now. I don’t read every word the page says before I click on something next thing you know your cell phone is charged and when you call to find out what the charge is about well you clicked on our site and it states on there blah blah blah These companies should not be able to screw people like this over and over again

One of the drawbacks with Facebook is the amount of advertising ytou get bombarded with, while we’re on the subject in general.

Do not try this, these people play kind of dirty, but I should have known. I didn’t think it would go this far and I’m terrified it will go further. I didn’t believe the deal, but I was curious. I entered my real number and email not thinking much would happen. Now I have been getting a ridiculous amount of spam mail and calls. I researched the numbers and I see now they are a result of my actions. I’m not used to getting this many calls a day, so much junk mail. It’s distressing. A recent comment said my cell phone could be charged? Frightening considering that someone pays for my phone as a gift. I could not bear to have them hurt by my actions. I’m really angry about this situation. It’s my fault, but I didn’t think it would be anything like this.
